Landlord pushing to convert short-term now
Hi,
our landlord are pushing very hard for us to commit to changing our short-term rental to a long-term rental now (Jan/Feb) instead of the initial agreed upon time (April, when the contract ends). They are even going as far as describing this renewable as "a big opportunity".
We're aware of the changing rental laws introduced at the beginning of the year will go into effect on April the 3rd. But this more aggressive push and change in time frame seems a bit smelly, but we're not familiar enough with the changes in law to know whats going on. We wouldn't mind staying but the apartment (and especially neighbors) could be better so we're trying to buy time to look around.
Anybody has an idea as to why the landlord would be so pushy now? doubt that it's for our benefits, to be honest.
We currently live in exiample, paying ~1600 eur for 100m2.
Any input would be greatly appreciated!
