Scopolamine patches for surgery question

Hi I am a 43 year old male, 244 lbs having laproscopic bilateral inguinal hernia surgery next Monday. My first surgery and first time dealing with general anesthesia. I have heard that scopolamine patches cause blurry vision and I'm really scared to have that side effect. I have always had a fear of not being able to see for some reason. Is there an effective alternative I can ask for that don't have this side effect for nausea or to prevent it or could I ask them to put a bandage over the patch so I don't touch the patch if it is in fact just the touching of the patch and then your eyes that could cause the vision issues and not the direct absorption of the medicine itself. Thank you
