Matchmaking system

Now someone explain to me how the matchmaking works in that hellish game. I'm hard stuck silver and I would be fine with it if the matchmaking was fair but there has to be something I don't understand because every grind is as follow: 1 spamming dumbass 1 fair game 1 moherfucker that is definitely not silver

Like for real what the heck is this?

I've been playing multiplayer games my whole life. I play Rocket League so I know about smurfs and things like that. But still, something does not feel right with the way Brawlhalla manages the matchmaking down in silver.

Care to explain?
