New Subaru Forester or 5yo premium SUV?

Hi, I'm currently deciding between a new Subaru Forester 2.5i Premium and a used premium SUV like the Audi Q5, Volvo XC40, or Lexus NX (2019-2020). I mostly drive in the Sydney area, with occasional trips for hiking. Our family of 3 includes my wife and our kid, both of whom are prone to car sickness.

Since I'm new to driving, having good safety features is really important to me. I’m also concerned about the reliability of these vehicles over the next four years and their resale value after that. Does it make sense to prefer a used premium SUV over a new Forester?
