Suggestions/recommendations for custom maps that don't start as highway off-ramps or have overbuilt expressways.

A lot of towns where I'm from and use as inspiration for my builds started from intersections connecting two larger towns and naturally grew from there, but most of the base game maps and what I find on the Paradox Mods page have large highways going to the starting square with an off-ramp leading to a big flat area.

A custom map that embodies the ethos I'm looking for is Magnolia County, as the roads when you start the game are very small two-way highways, but I'm curious if people have suggestions for maps that are like this.
