I think Dandadan's real story begins now
I just read the entire manga up to the latest chapter, and I feel like all the arcs so far were mainly to introduce new characters to the story. We currently have 7 main students (9 if we include the new girl and Zuma), and I predict that we’ll have one more boy in the group. It feels like the author prefers to create pairs of boys and girls. If that’s correct, we’ll end up with 10 main students, which seems like a solid number for a main cast. So, I don’t think it would make sense to add too many more characters beyond that.
What I’m saying is, I think the story is heading toward completing the Occultist Club soon and then move to another big arc. If the first arc was about obtaining the two golden balls, and that was the big arc that tied all minor arcs together, it is now over. Now the focus of the story needs to change, and this past arc felt like a settup and introduction. Once we have all the pieces on the table, the real game will begin.
Saint German feels different from the other villains we’ve seen so far. He’s the first one who doesn’t seem interested in directly confronting our heroes. He feels more like Pucci from JoJo Part 6. He’s been foreshadowed since the end of the Colonizers Arc, but at the conclusion of the Board Game Arc, he introduces "Dandadan" as a concept within the world, implying that it needs to be completed or something along those lines.
The current arc seems to focus on getting Momo back to normal (and possibly Okarun gaining new powers or regaining his old ones). However, once this arc concludes, I feel like the real major story arc of Dandadan will finally begin.
That’s my take on it so far. Do you agree with me?
