Nervous about biopsy results
I (F28) went to a dermatologist today for a skin screening. I have a ton of moles and freckles so I always get them checked out every year.
This time around, the dermatologist removed five atypical moles from my body. He said they were atypical and not necessarily cancerous. All of them were small and a couple were a little dark. I’ve only ever had one spot be biopsied before, so to have five was a little jarring. I’m terrified of having skin cancer and it will be hard for me to wait until my lab results come back in a week.
I guess I’m looking for someone to assuage my fears and share their experiences with having lots of biopsies?
