Can this run be completed legally?

475 miles.

Pickup appointment usually around 3 PM. Takes 2+ hours to load so realistically the truck is often not rolling until 5 PM.

Customer books delivery appointments and it's typically either 8 AM or 10 AM next day.

Can this run be completed legally by a solo?

With 8 hours drive time, and 10 hour reset, I don't understand how it's possible to be on-time.

More often than not, however, the solos are making it. How?

Origin area is very loose capacity right now, are carriers playing games with their clock to get the load and deliver on time ?

Or is there some legal loophole I don't understand with HOS, like is the break splitting rule applicable here?
