Realistically why was Rory so stressed

Ok so I know this is irrelevant because she got into Harvard anyways but why was she so stressed about “not having volunteer work”? Sure her list wasn’t as extensive as Paris, but hasn’t she been doing volunteer work/ charity in stars hollow her whole life? I’m sure she was just stressed because she’s an overachiever but it’s mentioned/ shown multiple times throughout the show that she’s done massive amounts of volunteer work for stars hollow
