The snobbish criticism of AI is pointless and tired

• “It’s lazy”
• “it’s non-human”
• “it’s a shortcut to fame”
• “it’s for talentless hacks”
• “it’s not real art”
• “there’s no merit in it”
• “it’s shameful”
• “people are gonna lose their jobs”

ALL things said about VFX when the transition from practical effects started, about autotune in the 00’s, about sampling in the 70’s, about modernist architecture, shit… Digital painting instead of traditional media and modern art STILL get bashed in the same manner, and don’t even get me started on musical traditionalists that think if you can’t play an instrument you aren’t a real musician… NOTHING can stop the relentless hand of progress, money and time saving are of upmost importance.

“B-but it’s different” no it’s not and whatever mental gymnastics it takes to make this argument just comes from intelectual insincerity.

At the end of the day the artist is the one deciding what goes in his project and what doesn’t, it’s really not that different from having a team… Your vision, curation and taste still is the deciding factor. If anything, AI is only helping them get out of artistic blocks and creativity ruts. Y’all just hating, as people always do. All love tho.
