We need to talk about the atmosphere at the Emirates.

Just got back from the game, and yeah we had a shocking performance at both ends but our atmosphere was embarrassing. Geordie’s were going at it all game, it sounded like the game was at SJP. Couldn’t hear a peep out of the Arsenal fans aside from the rare occasional “Arsenal, Arsenal” when prompted by the screen at corners.

Also where I was sat (upper wing) everyone was late to their seats, constantly getting up and out throughout the game and nearly everyone left early. Yes, again, bad performance and fans weren’t happy but surely we try and get behind the boys?

“But it’s a midweek Carabao Cup game.” I get it’s cold, late but it’s a semi final. All we could hear was the away fans. People starting chants at our end were supported by a handful of people.

What’s the reason for this? Discontent? League title over? Injuries? Surely we have to do better.
