Nodule?

Hello all- 40F with extensive family history of hypothyroidism and hashimotos. Have been experiencing severe hypothyroid symptoms over the past decade (diagnosed with alopecia, possible Fibro, weight gain, fatigue that never stops, cold intolerance, brittle nails and hair, dry sensitive skin, neck changes, face changes, feeling like I’m swallowing over a lump in my throat, low ferritin and vitamin d). TSH was always normal until recently. Have been gaslit by doctors to the point of making me feel like I’m absolutely out of my mind (doctor told me joint pain in hands, wrists, and elbows were due to me being overweight 😂 that I’m fatigued “because I’m a mom” etc).

About a year ago I felt a small bump (almond size) at the base of my throat right between my collar bones. My throat has been sensitive to pressure and I cannot wear high neckline shirts or necklaces due to discomfort. I showed two doctors my little lump (which now there are 2 and easily palpated). I had a thyroid ultrasound ordered but the tech only put the probe on the little lump and results were that it’s “just tissue”. Thyroid was never scanned. GP said it’s just a cyst and it’s nothing.

Based on symptoms I don’t feel it’s nothing. I’ll be requesting an ultrasound after I have my TSH rechecked in a few weeks.

Sorry long post but my goal is to ask: for those of you with thyroid inflammation or nodules- have any of you felt nodules in that area (base of throat between collar bones)? I’m seriously concerned they missed something and I’ve just been a sitting duck for the past year, especially as thyroid symptoms worsen.
