Rookie Admiral Seeking Recommendations for 1000 Points

Just started getting into Warhammer/AoS and I think KO are really fun looking. I plan to start simple with spearhead but want to at least assemble an army for 1000 point games. I am just not really sure how to go about it. Brokk seems really cool with his Moustache guns so I would like to go in with him, its just at 270 points I'm unsure of what else to include. Do i go all skyfarers to focus in on Brokk's melee, do i need arkanauts/thunderers to be able to hold down objectives, do I need another hero in there. I know ill include a Frigate because KO without boats seems wrong, but its the other units that are throwing me in loops. It might also just be Brokk is too expensive for 1000 points, but its drip or drown out here.
