Is the service centre tryna Scam me?

So my pc suddenly started to get "over current has been detected" screen on startup. I went to the MSI service centre and they are saying that the cpu lock is 'broken' and they won't cover it under warranty and are asking me to pay some amount.

1st pic -my motherboard I took at home 2nd pic - my motherboard (the circle is edited by the service centre employee showing me what's broken)

But looking at the brand new motherboard pic online (3rd pic) and comparing it to my motherboard pic I can't see what's 'broken' in the cpu socket. Please help <3
