Which console r the best ds experience ?

I really dont like the bigger screen on XL model, so after a long search a lot of people say the dsi screen are a little better than ds lite, its true? so for me who really hate the bigger screens the dsi could be the best experience right? i never had one only the ds lite then the 3ds
