Building my first pc

Iv always been a console gamer, but the last few years iv been wanting to buy a pc so I can play even more games iv been wanting to try. More specifically minecraft, although I play on console I really want to play with mod packs and I genuinely have no clue about pcs so I was looking for some help on what would be a good start pc that would be able to run minecraft mods and other games. A bonus would be if I was able to use it for some work related things as well. Thanks heaps everyone.
