About that "I Voted" Sticker that you received after casting your ballot.

The current Washoe County "I Voted" design was recognized by the US Elections Assistance Commission in 2019 along with designs from Clark County, Douglas County, Lousiana, and Alaska.

On the Design:

"In 2018, in conjunction with the introduction of new county-wide election machinery, Washoe County updated their “I Voted” sticker."

"The sticker features the Sierra mountains in the background and the city skyline to celebrate civic pride and the county’s picturesque landscape."

On the Award:

"Each year, the U.S. Election Assistance Commission (EAC) invites submissions for its national Clearinghouse Awards, or Clearies for short. Under the Help America Vote Act of 2002 (HAVA), the EAC is charged with serving as a clearinghouse for election administration information. By celebrating innovative efforts from state and local election offices, the Clearies helps the EAC to fulfill this important mission."
