Changing Rooms

Hi. I'm an incoming freshman to SBU. Back when I did my room selection I didn't really think about it too much and just went with a random roommate. Now that I've gotten to talk with him a bit idk if our personalities will match. Is it possible to change rooms mid semester if things don't work out or am I stuck? Also are rooms set for both fall + spring or does it change after semesters?
