But I’ll miss the time off…

The time off we have as a teacher keeps me in a chokehold and prevents me from leaving the profession.

It sounds bad but it’s hard for me to even imagine working M-F every week with only two weeks off even if the job was easier than teaching. How has it been for those of you who have transitioned out of teaching? Do you miss the breaks? Has your quality of life improved enough to not care about working more days?

PS I’m not actually miserable teaching. I just don’t really look forward to going to work. Majority of my days are “fine/okay” but out of this entire fall semester I’ve only had 3 good days.
