Farming tier question - please help! :)

The issue and the question:
I am currently at t12 wave 50, t1 I've pushed to 10000+ and I've cleared through t3, might be able to clear t4 (especially with random SL or DW), haven't tried too recently. I run a EHP/Blender build and I've been playing pretty consistently but not hardcore since October with the ad pack and 2x bonuses and no other money spent on the game.
So, people keep saying you should be farming the highest tier you can reliably get to like 3k on, but I don't seem to be getting very good CPH on anything but t1. Sure, it starts slow, but on a 14h run it ultimately averages out to about 150m cph, whereas a 8h t2 run only gets to around 50m cph, and higher tiers are worse. Also, I get a much lower final wave on account of card tradeoffs for my farming preset vs. my milestone preset and prioritizing coin perks (esp 1.8x coin for -80% health).
The question is, why am I not getting better results farming at higher tiers? Is it just that most people don't wanna wait 10 hours for the t1 runs to pull ahead? Do I just need to invest more in the workshop? Should I be pulling mods or getting more card slots? I'm kind of at a loss, haha. But in any case, I'd love to be making more than 150m cph on runs shorter than 14 hours at higher tiers. See below for where my build currently is.
Where I'm at:
Cards:
12 slots
Commons all at Lv. 6
Rares almost all at Lv. 4
Epics all at Lv. 1, still no Super Tower, Second Wind, Wave Accelerator or (obviously) Ultimate Crit
Workshop:
Dmg and Regen are at 500, health is at 700, everything that can be reasonably maxed is. Most expensive workshop I've maxed is probably package chance. Total of like 8-10 billion coins invested, I think.
UW:
BH, GT, CL, SM
BH & GT synced and another 500 or so stones invested into radius/duration and bonus/duration respectively, GT duration is BH's +12. CL has only had like 100 stones thrown at it, but I'm wondering if I shouldn't invest a little more with my legendary DC. Probably still too early to be thinking about damage. I know it's waaay to early to even touch SM.
Mods:
Death Penalty (Epic), Wormhole Redirector (Epic), no natural epic generators yet (unlucky), and Dimension Core (Legendary)
I also have Havoc Bringer, Negative Mass Projector, Anti-Cube Portal, a Legendary Space Displacer, and a Multiverse Nexus in the bank.
Labs:
Currently have 2 at 2x and 3 at 1.5x
- Lab speed perma
- Attack speed perma
- Health/CPK/Defense %
- UW - BH dmg max, GT duration +12, about a week each in CL shock chance and multiplier, GT bonus, currently pumping BH coin bonus, at lvl 12 rn
- Flex - Usually UW, perks, or Modules stuff
TL; DR - Why am I making the most coins at t1 when it sounds like people in similar situations are getting the most out of t5/6?
