For me, nothing can beat when people who are fans of BBC Sherlock were brainstorming and trying to find clues towards a secret final episode. Because the final season was so bad, they reasoned that it was made like that on purpose, and there must be a secret upcoming episode that will fix the issues and all will fall into place. It went to the point that people claimed an upcoming show is actually fake and is a secret code for the upcoming episode.
