Keep flavoured condoms/lubes/any sugary thing away from your vagina!

They can cause yeast infection, itching or irritation. If you use a sweet thing like chocolate syrup on the penis for oral sex then wipe it clean before having intercourse before you don't want anything sweet down there!

WHAT NOBODY TELLS YOU ABOUT FLAVOURED LUBRICANT!

X it should NOT be used near the vulva or inside the vagina

X it should NOT be used for vaginal intercourse

X it should NOT be used for anal intercourse

Many (not all) flavoured lubes use sugar in the flavouring and the sugar can cause an overgrowth of yeast in the vagina, vulva or rectum. Even when a lubricant or flavored Condom is sugar-free, some people find the skin around the vulva or rectum is very sensitive to some of the chemicals used for flavouring.

Flavoured lubricants and other similar scented and flavoured products (including flavoured condoms, scented pads, scented tampons) can cause bacterial imbalances or infections! Some people also report burning or irritation from using these products in the vulva.

So what CAN you use flavored lubricant for safely?

Oral Sex with a penis

On the mouth-facing side of a dental dam (so the side not facing the vulva or anus)

A couple of brands which use all-natural ingredients, are fertility friendly, safe to consume or use internally in the vagina or anus are @thatsassythingdotcom and @mymuse.in

Lubed condoms can actually mess with your pH levels aswell. Many popular brands of lube/condoms can irritate the vagina due to it's pH level.

• If a product is CE marked, it's a confirmation that it's safe for the bodily environment it was intended for, by European Economic Area (EEA) standards. Without this, there's no confirmation that your lube product doesn't contain anything that's harmful to your vulva skin and vaginal pH.

• Avoid lubes/condoms that have flavors/fragrances such as fruity, floral, candy, etc.

• Avoid: Glycerin(e), Propylene Glycol, Nonoxynol 9, Chlorhexedine Gluconate, Petroleum Oils, Polyquaternium-15, Benzocaine, Sugars & Sugar Alcohols, Ureas.
