Quality of Life & Salary

I’m currently in the US, and was wondering about the situation in places like Dubai or Abu Dhabi. Currently pursuing a chemical engineering/petroleum engineering track and once I graduate I’d be interested in potentially moving to that area.

I was wondering how’s the quality of life? Are the salaries higher than in the US/UK/other places (accounting for tax)? What are advantages and disadvantages?
