Is anyone else frustrated with how different each professor's AI policy is?

I've had some classes that encourage we use it to help us edit and shorten our writing--one TA directly told me to. Both my quantitative classes are STRONGLY encouraging we use it and it's basically expected that we do, although we can't submit code written by it. And then some classes are strongly, strongly against it and consider any use of it academic misconduct. Those polices are all for classes within the same department. A class in a different department didn't even care if we submitted work written by AI, just warned us that it often made up incorrect facts.

It's just frustrating to keep track of and I feel like it is inevitability going to get people in trouble when they forget which class they can use AI in and submit something that was edited by AI to a class where it isn't allowed. Obviously this is an evolving issue but I'm not sure this very disjointed approach is working.
