Are motorcycles safe on campus?

Prospective student here, currently at FGCU. We have UPD that patrols campus here and have never had a motorcycle theft, although I still keep a brake lock on mine. Has anyone heard of a motorcycle theft on campus?

Any general safety insight would be appreciated, when it comes to campus parking and dorms.
