Back surgery temporary 100 percent

Hi all,

I am going to be having back surgery through the VA with an outside provider performing the surgery. I am wondering what the process is to get the VA to pay me at 100 percent while I am out of work for the procedure and recovery. I have tried to do some digging around and cannot get an exact answer. Hopefully someone on here has the information I need.
