Feyre’s gifts
Am i the only one that actually likes that Feyre is not dramatically, over the top powerful? I’ve been seeing so much discourse over Feyre’s magic and her being this overlord of the fairies or something and I’m just sitting here enjoying the fact that she’s a bit more…down to earth? I like the fact that Sarah makes a pointed effort in reminding us of Feyre’s limits and that she only has drops of power from each High Lord, not the whole scale, but just drops of power that were so minuscule that even the High Lords themselves didn’t even notice something was gone.
What Feyre makes up for lack of raw strength as compared to other characters, is her versatile power set. That’s Feyre’s main strength, the fact that she has a plethora of abilities. And it’s more than enough as seen on page for her to be able to be considered a contender. I’m not sure why people want Feyre to be so unfathomably powerful when we all know Sarah struggles to keep up with that and even worse, just strips the female character of their power if they become too powerful. Like I’m not expecting her to be summoning tidal waves of fire and then water and turning entire landscapes to ice—that’s a bit much. I’m glad for what we got
