Shedding Tips?

This is Carl! He never. Stops. Shedding. It is unbelievable the amount of fur that comes off this beautiful boy. We have a Furminator brush, but it’s so hard to keep up with it. Does anyone have any other recommendations? I was wondering if using a slicker brush in the bath might work? Does anyone have any shampoo that seems to help?
