Alright yall help a new owner out

Somewhat new to owning/caring for chickens.

The girls eggs were crumbly so I added calcium to their diet and now they’re so hard you could use them as weapons. Id like to avoid potentially egg binding them, but would also like to avoid shells that are almost powdered.

What kid of mix do you usually add to your feed to keep their eggs decently hard?

Their diet usually consists pf fresh veggies (usually any we have around the house thats about to go bad like squash, peppers and carrots) and crumble.

Tips are more than welcomed and heres some chicken tax to supply y’all with- also anyone know why tf my girl suddenly decided to become a roo? She lays, shes 100% hen. Just wanted to have a sex change i guess? Lack of a roo in the flock? Help me out lmao idk why she did that-
