Questions about 3D printing for fnaf cosplay
Hi!
I'm considering buying a 3D printer, mostly because I'd like to work on making a good fnaf cosplay for the new movie! I'd like to be able to use the in-game models (or at least, as close as I can get), and to be able to construct strong simple Arduino animatronic components, so I figured a printer is the way to go. However, I'm totally inexperienced when it comes to this stuff, so I was hoping I could get some help with these questions:
- Any suggestions for printers (not too expensive, as I'm a student)?
- What size should my printer be (I want to at minimum make a mask for a human head)?
- As far as essentials go, do I need more than just a printer, filament, and modeling software?
- Is there a preferred filament for larger projects like this, or does anything work?
- What are some common mistakes that people new to printing make, so that I can try to avoid them?
