Leonhards not in ng+?

Hey so I completely fucked Leonhards quest up in my first playthrough by making him disappear before getting his gesture (applause) I'm trying to get all the achievements but going into ng+ he's not in firelink? Does anyone know where he is and how to get this gesture in ng+?
