Bug, lag, or something else?

I’m relatively new to the game, I have only played a couple dozen times or so and my highest door was 94. In this clip I hit X at least twice and wasn’t allowed entry to the cabinet. This has never happened before and I almost exclusively play Cooperative so I’m hesitant to blame lag. Is there another explanation for what happened? Thanks!
