Just moved houses and my joints have never been so sore
I [20F] hired a truck for the day and moved an entire household’s worth of contents with only one other person to help (my dad, who has a bad back and knees). We couldn’t afford movers so we did all the packing and lifting ourselves. It ended up taking 20 hours with no breaks (we had to return the truck before midnight so there was no time for stopping, otherwise we wouldn’t have got it done in time). I struggle to complete daily tasks, some days I even need a walking stick. So you can imagine the pain of having to move a fridge, couch, washing machine, big tables, desks, bookshelves, heavy boxes, etc. from one to place to another. Even able bodied people would struggle with this.
Definitely went far beyond my limits with this one, I’m struggling to even stand. I’ve probably caused permanent damage. Any tips for pain relief and recovering from something like this? I’m in too much pain to even lie down and sleep :(
