General Sorrengail affair?

My sister just started fourth wing, she is almost done with the first book, naturally she has theories some I can shut down some I can’t.

She believes general sorrengail had an affair with colonel Aetos resulting in Brennan, which is why Brennan is the favourite child, plus almost every instance they appear in the book, they appear together like they are the ones with the mated dragons.
