They can just stop doing the podcast now.

In the most recent episode I listened to, Heather described a new app she’d been using that analyzes bird sounds and identifies them for you, and let’s you play bird sounds back from the same species, letting you communicate with them in a rudimentary way. She went on to describe with childlike wonder how the birds would recognize the sounds and fly over her and she sounded genuinely full of joy, it was a beautiful moment. Then, after a slight pause, Wiger responded “Wow, that sounds like a hoot” followed by a long, disappointed pause from Heather. That was it. That was peak comedy. We, collectively, as the human race, have perfected the art of the joke. We have climbed Mount Everest and at the top found Nick Wiger making a bird pun. I wish that I could rewind time and instead of getting a degree and a career and a family, that I had instead studied poetry, so that I could more properly encapsulate the beauty that was that moment but alas, words fail me. We can never move on from that moment, because it is impossible to top. So we can just stop. Not this podcast, but the very concept of humor itself, because everything else from now on will pale in its shadow.

Also they should do Conker’s Bad Fur Day for the N64 because that game is wild.
