We're getting a puppy!

The breeding has been confirmed, as long as all goes well we will be bringing home a puppy around Christmas! My son has been obsessed with getting a Dane since he met a few at a dog show almost a year ago. We are not new to puppies, although it's been 13 years since we've done the puppy stage - we are new to Great Danes. We have done a lot of research on the bread, as I've also wanted one for many years. Any advice for the first year that I wouldn't have read in all our research?

If you're still here, my biggest question is what did you feed your puppies? We research food a lot and since raw has started to become popular and making your own food I feel like this part has become a bit complicated in picking out a food. Our last two dogs we've switched due to their needs over the years but did Fromms, Purina true instinct and Purina bright mind for the aging boys. We never did puppy food and just started right on adult food.
