8 months post op- intense repair and hysterectomy 💜

I’ve posted here before indicating my post op journey but I’m 8 months out today and I want to share what I consider the best & full update 🥰

I’m 34 (almost 35 😅) and had 5 babies vaginally within a 8 year time span (2 biological, 3 surrogate)! To be honest my gynecologist never brought up any concerns with me having the babies back to back nor mentioned any issues with my vaginal area post partum.

I gave birth to my final surrogate baby January 2022. Following that birth I had my normal periods but they are much heavier than they had been in the past and although I tried to wear tampons (as I had done since age 14) they were becoming painful, falling out randomly etc.

I went to a new gynecologist in December 2024 for an annual and mentioned what was occurring. When she went to do the pap she immediately stopped as soon as she went to place the speculum. She sat me up and said that she was going to make a call to the urogynocologist as I had a very severe prolapse of the uterus and bladder.

Fast forward 2 months later I had a very very long 5.5 surgery to repair my uterine prolapse, bladder prolapse, rectal prolapse and had a bladder sling placed + vaginal hysterectomy (left ovaries). I honestly felt sad that at 34 I was going through so much but hands down it was the BEST decision ever! 8 months out and I am down 25lbs, no periods + vaginal area feels brand new!!

If you feel something is off please please advocate for yourself!!
