Questions about moving my laser down stairs

Hello everyone, I am hoping you more knowledgeable people will be able to give me some guidance.

I should be receiving a thunder laser nova 24 next week and I would like it to be in my basement. I am planning on using a furniture dolly to slowly lower down the stairs with aid of a friend.

My question is: should I take the laser tube out? Based on videos it looks like it comes wrapped in foam and it just travelled the world so I assume it's pretty secure. I'm worried going down stairs will jostle it too much. On the other hand, I have never taken a laser tube out but if I want that to happen, I would have to figure it out in my driveway.

Any tips or ideas for getting it down there? We could maybe just carry it but risk of dropping is a problem too.

Edit: in case anyone searches for something like this. As in the comments, I also used a furniture dolly and slowly lowered it down the stairs step by step. The laser tube side was supported on the dolly. I did not remove the laser tube and everything survived.
