Is it possible to learn Android app development on your own from home?

Hello,

I would like to learn Android app development from home on my computer. I don’t want to go to university to study; I prefer to learn from home using videos, books, tutorials, and exercises. Do you think it’s possible to do this from scratch, i just know html and css for the moment?
