Why are people so hyped about paper bags?

Most of material we buy from LEGO is almost entirely plastic so why are people so hyped besides that it was promised so long ago? Like bags aren't even made entirely out of paper it's plastic coated so it's more plastic/paper and even then it's more expensive to make and doesn't help environment, it's still chemicals in bags and it's populution if discarded in nature so I don't really get this hype and also it just turns you off because there is no more that nostalgic plastic sound of bags

Edit: my point is that for literally the reason you all argue it’s better it’s why it’s actually probably worse 1 coating on inside is made out of polyethylene literally same plastic than those bags 2 some people actually believe it’s paper and will dispose bags in paper bin which is even more bad for environment than actually knowing what’s in the bags 05 PP and disposing it properly.
