has anyone here sued their real estate broker
asking on this sub because LIBOR (long island real estate body) has specific rules.
I have a broker who will not release me, despite having said he would, as well doing many other inappropriate things, one of which is why i am posting:
he withdrew our home from mls, without getting signed permission.
we asked for a release from exclusivity, but he won't do it. so we did not sign the mls form. from what i understand this is a big no no, especially since we never gave him written permission to do so. he has now blocked us and refuses to let go (how is this not a breach of duties...not representing a client, but also not letting them go...)
initially he tried to get us for $1500 (for doing absolutely nothing in 10 days he had it,) but now he is simply holding it hostage until end of may.
also filed an ethics complaint but who knows how long that will take.
i am trying to get an idea if anyone was successful, and if they can forward lawyer that they used.
