Shoutout to Frozen Veggies
I’ve been struggling with a calorie deficit for several months, at the end of last year I finally decided enough was enough and that I would finally fully commit for the first time in years. A main issue I was having was my partner being a lot bigger than me, and I’d eat the same amount of food as him regularly since I have a big appetite. Well I started piling, and I mean piling my plate with frozen veggies daily to combine with my meals and replace the things like bread and rice and pasta I’d normally eat with him. I still eat those things, but in small quantities to get the taste. It’s been SUCH a game changer for me. I also chop up a bunch of fresh veggies to combine for the weeks I have a little more time, but frozen veggies are so easy in a pinch! I keep the variety going by buying different ones each week too. I’ve also noticed I feel just as full when I combine them with a protein and then occasional fat like half an avocado. Just wanted to gush about how much of a life-saver this has been for me, it’s pretty economical too :)
