State jobs - safe?

I know there are lots of unknowns right now and we have to wait to see how things play out with the new administration, but just curious if any state employees are also a bit anxious about their jobs? I have 9.8 years, and unfortunately didn’t pay much into Social Security (lots of part time gigs during college to make ends meet) before starting with the state. Even if I were to leave, I’d be taking a huge pay cut and would obviously lose my benefits…months before being “vested”. Idk if I’m asking a question, ranting, or just anxious. I get that there’s no point in worrying and should just wait and see what happens, but that doesn’t help much with this anxious brain haha. Any thoughts welcome.
