I see MBTI references in manhwas all the time. Why is this community so big in South Korea?

*Manhwas are korean comics, like how mangas are japanese. In case that confused anyone

Anyway, every now and again I'll be reading my goofy comedy/romances and get hit with an MBTI reference. They're frequently brought up in the character profiles at the midpoint of the story too. I've never seen this in western comics. Or western media as a whole.

I've heard that South Korea takes this community very seriously. Does anyone know why that is?
