How to boycot US products

Recently, many people have chosen to boycott U.S. products. However, some companies that appear to be Canadian or from other countries are actually owned by larger U.S. corporations. To help identify which products and brands are truly independent of American ownership, I’ve found a few apps that make this process easier for everyone.

Here are three useful apps to assist in boycotting U.S. products:

  1. No Thanks App – This app allows you to scan barcodes and determine whether a product is linked to companies you wish to avoid. It’s available on both the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store.

  2. Buycott – Buycott enables users to join campaigns that support or boycott specific companies. By scanning a product’s barcode, you can see its corporate affiliations and decide whether it aligns with your values.

  3. Yuka – While primarily designed to assess the health impact of food and cosmetic products, Yuka also provides information about product origins. It’s available for both Android and iOS devices.

(I am not affiliated with or promoting any of these apps—just sharing for those who may find them helpful.)
