Tell me why you're a fan of UB

I'm not trying to be sarcastic or facetious here. I really would like to know. Up front, I'm not a fan of Universes Beyond. I won't say any more, I don't want this to be negative. I made a post earlier today about it, but took it down because the first comment made me consider something. Maybe I'm wrong and I'm in the minority.

In this echo chamber, algorithm based world we live in, it's hard to see other viewpoints. So I'm trying.

MaRo says the research shows people love it, and I do love this game, so if I'm just being 'old man yells at clouds', with a minority who won't accept change, I'd like to be one of us who escapes.

So honestly, I'd like to know if you're a fan and why? What draws you to it?

Edit; Thank you all very much for your replies. I'm trying to read them all. It has really opened my eyes. The two main things I'm seeing are 'It's how I found (or re-found) MtG' and 'it's a multiverse... everything makes sense.' Such simple things that are exactly why I wanted to ask. I was definitely missing the point.

Edit #2; Wow! I'm so happy to have had this many responses, and legitimately all of them constructive and answering. You've changed my mind. I'll repeat something I said in a comment below. I may not play them, or purchase them, but I'll be damn sure to support your love for them, and your ability to play them against me. 💙
