Original pods

Hello, Just got a new ninja barista machine. It has regular coffee brewing and expresso using the original pods for nespresso. I didn’t realize it was two different pods. I got a few of the correct (original) ones now. But it seems like there isn’t many available at grocery stores etc. Are they phasing out? Was it a mistake to get a machine that only takes the original pods?
