If game disk is cracking

The game disk is cracking in the middle ring area but still works. How would I purchase the game in the store without it saying I already own it? Or should I just find another physical copy and work it that way? The store doesn't let you buy a game you own already but I'm not sure if there's a work around since I have the physical disc. Any suggestions are welcome thank you.
