I (F23) recently confided to my boyfriend (M41) that I'm a virgin. He took it well initially. But now he's almost given me an ultimatum to have sex with him

This is my second serious relationship. I've been seeing my boyfriend since June 2024. We got into an exclusive relationship in August. In December when he asked me if I'm ready to have sex (we have done other sexual things but not intercourse) I confessed that I'm a virgin.

Initially he took it well and said it made him glad his girlfriend isn't one that sleeps around. But lately he's been hinting that he can't wait much longer for sex and either I give it or be prepared to have the relationship end.

I like him a lot but I don't know why I'm not ready to take the leap. What are my options?
