Gotta give Remnant 2 it's due after playing LoP and LOTF

R2 is my game of the year!! Some will counter with BG3 but it's not my type of game and haven't played it. However, I do respect BG3 immensely and totally agree that it should be the true GOTY.

Now, for the comparisons to the other "souls like" games released this year.

Let's start with multiplayer/co-op. LoP doesn't have it. And LOTF shouldnt have it! I know R2 multiplayer coop wasn't perfect and had its own bugs, crappy ui server browser, and desync issues but it was at least playable. Note all 3 games are using the same engine.

For R2, it's not a clone which IMO makes it even harder development wise. It seems like LoP and LOTF copied their super smart friend's(Fromsoft) homework and changed some answers to be wrong on purpose so the teacher doesn't catch on that they copied. There are a few issues with both games that are viewed as annoying and not needed besides adding artificial difficulty. I haven't come across any of these issues with R2.

2 games in the last decade had me waking up 2 hours before work and being completely obsessed with content regarding the games. Those games are elden ring and remnant 2.
